Responsibilities:
Under the general direction of the Associate Housing Coordinator, this person is responsible for providing peer housing supportive services for all housing programs funded by Juniata Valley Behavioral and Developmental Services.
This position will support individuals diagnosed with mental illness and co-occurring disorders in their recovery and locating needed and desired supports or services.
Operations are conducted in accordance with all existing policies, procedures, and regulations and in accord with the Mission and Values of the Company.

Experience:
High school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED).
One (1) year of documented volunteer or paid work experience.
Current or former recipient of mental health and or co-occurring services.
Employment Requirements:
Reliable transportation to designated work site in the community (Financial Assistance is available to assist with transportation costs)Act 33 and Act 34 Clearances, FBI Fingerprint Clearance, Social Security Card, Immigration and Naturalization (I-9), Drug Screening ClearanceWorking Conditions:
Prolonged periods working on a computer in an open office environment, and comfortable communicating through virtual technology.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
