Technical Support Expert Commercial Equipment

Job Description The Expert will provide technical support by telephone, email and current technology to assist our customers and subcontractors with technical problems with hydraulic, electrical and/or mechanical machinery questions.
You'll be relied on to help with questions on applications regarding function, install, maintenance and replacement, as well as warranty, parts questions or issues for loading dock safety equipment.
You may also inspect and service company equipment onsite, assuring product performance, addressing and resolving questions and problems regarding products.
ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities Troubleshoot products and equipment, recommending quick, well thought-out and best practice solutions and repair.
Technical support to customers over the telephone and/or email, addressing and resolving questions and problems with hydraulic, electrical or mechanical machinery, questions, or applications.
Identifies and analyzes repairs of product failures, orders replacement parts as needed to rectify product issues.
Search and resolve production, installation and technical support issues related to Systems' specialized control boxes and equipment, including sensors, controllers, and interconnections.
Read and understand blueprints, schematics, manuals, bulletins and other specifications.
Provide corrective actions for products under warranty according to policy procedures.
Process replacement parts and warranty orders for existing products or units.
Use strong computer software skills such as spreadsheets, databases, word processing applications, email, TCM (ERP), etc.

Remain technically competent and keep current within the industry, by working with Engineering and Manufacturing on a daily basis Work collaboratively with team members and customers to define and implement solutions that resolve application issues and improve product functionality.
Help to identify any customer misuse of products during the troubleshooting process.
Liaison between Customer, Product Engineering and Manufacturing Receiving and entering Customer orders for product production, through an Order Entry process.
Provide system modifications (Detailing) to production orders, BOM, Routers and Travelers to support proper manufacturing of the customer requested products.
Work with Purchasing to ensure non-standard components are available when needed for production, through a requisition process.
QualificationsPreferred experience/skills include:
Ability to (learn) read and understand blueprints, schematics, manuals, bulletins and other specifications.
Understanding of electrical field wiring and control wiring.
Technical experience in a manufacturing environment Excellent communication skills- verbal, telephone, in-person and written.
Possess excellent interpersonal skills verbal, telephone and face-to-face communications with a personable and professional demeanor.
Strong computer software skills such as spreadsheets, word processing, email, ERP systems, database, etc.
Proficient technology user, smart phone, tablet, PC.
Initiative, service-orientation, interpersonal skills and team orientation.
Understand how to operate tools, such as hand tools, power tools.
Possess valid driver's license with good record.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Other skills preferred:
