Position: Network Move CoordinatorJOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for coordinating the installation/relocation of PC's, printers, telephone, fax equipment, etc. associated with moves, renovations and new buildings. The primary focus is ensuring that devices are promptly functional.
Works under minimal supervision provided by the Safety, Transportation and Installation Services Supervisor. Coordinates information among the Clients Network Infrastructure group, Voice Systems group, Facilities, departments, end users and outside contractors to ensure a smooth installation/move process. Serves as the primary liaison between Clients Facilities and Information Technology (I.T.) Departments. Responsible for connecting devices to the Clients data network using established standards.
Performs station data cross connects based on the information supplied by the Clients Network Specialist.
Tests PC's, printers, and print servers for network connectivity after the install/move process.
Performs station voice cross connects based on the information supplied by the Clients Voice Systems group.
Coordinates testing/repair of down/unreliable station cables with the Clients installation technician. Troubleshoots cable problems using link test and a cable tester.
Utilizing Clients ITSM applications (Remedy, Infoblox etc.), drives the provisioning of network connectivity for moves: verifies information, arranges for cable pulls, and changes IP addressing. Works with the Client assigned Network Specialist to ensure adequate address space, equipment capacity, normal and emergency power, etc.
Troubleshoots PC, print server, etc. network settings.
Configures, installs, and troubleshoots standalone print servers working with the Client assigned Network Specialist.
Coordinates jack locations among Clients Facilities dept., Network Specialist, Voice Systems, and the department's users, noting any special network requirements or unusual networked devices.
Ensures integrity of information in Clients ITSM applications (Remedy, Infoblox, etc.); update change log.
Monitors port capacity, wall space and closet environment to provide warning when limits are being reached or potential problems could occur.
Understands Client network in terms of cable plant and data closet environments. Maintains a practical knowledge of the related configurations and standards.
Understands Clients I.T. and Facilities move and installation processes and politics.
Serves as the primary I.T. resource on the Clients move team, (1) providing input related to cabling and closet requirements, as well as resource requirements and availability, and (2) reporting significant requirements and developments to the team and to the Network Infrastructure group. Jointly responsible with other team members to meet team goals and objectives.
Negotiates reasonable I.T. resource requirements and standards compliance in a peer environment.
Informs Clients project team leaders, team members, and functional management on the progress of project activities, on-going or recurring problems, and any circumstance which might threaten schedules or established standards.
Monitors copper and fiber cable installations to ensure compliance with Client standards, providing coordination among Clients Facilities dept., any contractor, and the Clients assigned Network Specialist.
Participates in the orientation and training of new personnel as required.
Performs other duties for which the employee is qualified as required by emergency or other operational reasons.

Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Demonstrated ability to research information from various sources including industry and Client specific standards.
Bachelor of Science, associate degree or technical diploma in the field of computer or information science, or a minimum of two years of fulltime work experience in a customer oriented IT support role required.
Must have solid oral and written communication skills and the proven ability to multitask and interact with customers/user's and fellow staff effectively and professionally.
Must have demonstrated analytical ability and the general understanding of IT and Front end computer/printer support and applications needs of the health care industry.
Must be able to interact with senior level management, as well as project participants. Experience with clinical applications in a medical/clinical setting is a plus.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and Networking is required. Category 5E, 6E, multi-mode fiber and single mode fiber installation certifications preferred.
Valid driver's license. Reliable transportation.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
